Understanding the role of a Personal Protection Specialist (Bodyguard) is only a fraction to supplying a service.

Workshops is a form of developing skills to perform. This form of development leads to developing experience.
There are two reasons why subjects like; “Suspicious Packages” is exposed. The first reason is based on negative publicity towards the client. All clients value their privacy and publicity could interfere with the client’s daily living as well as informing the saboteur on the success on delivering a package used to test security measures. The second reason is based on utilizing law enforcement agencies on a miss-understood threat. This is not stating to never call proper law enforcement agencies but rather not troubling them with harmless packages. As the old saying goes, “Keep crying wolf and there will be a time no one will answer.” This will also reflect the personal protection specialist’s ability and reputation on providing a service. A professional protection specialist should asses all types of threats a client may receive. Knowing packages have been utilized in the past to cause harm and/or death, all participants should comprehend methods of inspecting and determining if a package received is suspicious. Clients employ personal protection specialist individuals because there has been an established threat. Knowing this, never overlook any type of possibilities that may harm your client. It may take time to inspect a package but it’s only a tenth of a second to end life. This is the same reason why vehicles are inspected for sabotage. 6 - What is the value of certificates issued by Bodyguard Principles verses others? The value is based on how the training was provided and the type of scenarios that followed. All certificates issued are serial coded and linked to the participant's social security number for showing being valid. The certificate is accompanied by a complete breakdown exposing all areas of training. This is very helpful when an employer or company views the certificate and relates this certificate to training. With so many companies offering training, who's to say what kind of training was offered if there were no document exposing the type of training received. We believe certificates alone does no justice in exposing an individual's ability and skill development without exposing the type of training received.
As a personal protection specialist, you must know how to research, retrieve and utilize intelligence. Intelligence gathering covers critical methods utilizing the net, interviewing / interrogations and surveillance techniques. There are also legal matters to consider. With this in mind, the participant will be exposed to legal searching and contracts / agreements utilized.
8 - What does "Introduction to Terrorism" cover and why is it related to sociology? Introduction to terrorism exposes concepts and methods pertaining to individuals that perform acts of terror and take lives of innocent. Sociology is a way to expose or profile a group of individuals. It would be nearly impossible to profile a group of individuals. Within a group, each individual has their own agenda, thought pattern and reason for wanting to promote harm against individuals and/or entities such as governments and corporations. Sociology offers methods of profiling these groups.
9 - What is standard conduct and why is it expressed as a necessary topic? A professional personal protection specialist is more than an individual stand in a suite looking good with muscles or ability to harm someone else. This individual must constantly think about the client's safety, foresee possibilities of threats and not embarrasses the client. Over or under dressing develop negative appearance. The mind becomes the greatest deterrent weapon compared to the physical appearance. With this said, appearance projects professionalism while not embarrassing the client. Properly dressed for occasions allows the protector to blend in verses stand apart. This includes coordinating proper attire for weather conditions.

No. It will be less of a cost for a participant to purchase a single tool kit then purchase additional items if needed with discounted rates.
Yes. The OC and Taser certification are issued. All participants must be required and tested before being certified.
15 - Is the OC and Taser certification valid and known? Yes. We only deal with organizations who has defined the legal means of use and stand by their programs of instructions.
16 - Why is the OC Aerosol and Taser offered compared to batons? We find the use of the OC Aerosol and a Taser to be the preferred secondary instrument for several reasons. A professional bodyguard evades the client form harm. Saying this, the OC Aerosol offers abilities to egress the client and maintains distance with an assailant or crowd rather than having a baton used for striking or take downs. Baton use will only decrease distance with an assailant and expose the client to further harm. The OC Aerosol and Taser also offers ability to neutralize a single attack from a distance.
Most of all, holding a baton used for striking or taking down an assailant exposes a negative outlook on the protector and client. This exposes a harmful category called "Embarrassment" when photos are taken. A photo of a baton used by a bodyguard is far more damaging compared to spraying the OC Aerosol or utilizing a Taser because a baton would be considered a blunt instrument. There are also legal issues to consider. Was the justification use of a baton been established? Striking an individual with an instrument could have legal consequences. Especially if the threat was accidentally read by the bodyguard.
All instructors are fully qualified and have years of supplying services and instructing firearm within the law enforcement and military. As an example of areas exposed, the following is expressed. Draw and firing from a carry position, assault evasions, close contact shooting, multiple target engagements, use of cover, injury drills, firing from the ground, kneeling and seated positions and mobile target engagements.
However, all participants must qualify and all security firearm licenses are verified by their state department. We do not except "Concealed Weapons Licenses" as a means of training or providing services. It is against the law to provide a service with a concealed weapons license.
18 - What types of licenses are required? We could only speak about the state of Florida. Any and all information should be obtained from your local state office pertaining to security and firearm licenses.
In the state of Florida, at a minimum, the Security Officer "D" license is required to provide personal protection. Other licenses accepted are the Private Investigator "C" license and the Private Intern Investigator "CC" license. With regards to a firearm, only a Florida Statewide Firearm "G" license is allowed only for security related assignments. Conceal Weapons Licenses are not qualified for security related assignments and it is against the law.
19 - Why is there a statement, "Eligibility applies to this course" on some programs? The material covered in the program is sensitive and has direct relations with security in general. The "Eligibility" pertains to the background on each individual. This is a mixture of proper licenses in good standing, the company who employed the individual seeking training and a clear history on that individual.
