Tactical Level One:

Will be available to: everyone who has a current State concealed firearms license or shows proof of certification issued by the NRA on safety and sidearm shooting. Tactical level one’s primary objective is to increase knowledge and skills on safety, trigger control,” instinctual body alignment targeting”, and misfire reaction; with emphasis on home invasion defense scenarios and general personal/ family defense tactics inside and outside of the home.

The program covers a two part-training core. The first course section deals with live fire on the range. In this training section; the participants will practice and reinforce:

Safety Procedures -

“Ready Stance”, “Safety Circle”, Proficient Weapon Manipulation using Visual and Feel, Muzzle Discipline, Trigger Discipline, Handgun Stoppage Immediate Action Drills , Proper Draw to the Center, Emergency Reload Procedures, Safe Load and Unload Procedures.

Instinctual Body Alignment Targeting -

Accurate target engagement; without using sights. (Head, Shoulders, Chest, and Hips), Double Hand Shooting, and Single Hand shooting; using dominate and non-dominate hands.

Close Quarter Draw -

                Target Engagement –

Ø  moving off attacker’s center line

Ø  expanding distance from attacker

Ø  contact distance with attacker

Ø  closing distance with attacker

Ø  “Flash Sight”, no sights, and contact aiming.

Trigger Control -

Trigger squeeze, Trigger reset, “sweet spot” or, “trigger break” conditioning, Rapid Fire utilizing proper techniques. (2, 3 and 4 round burst)

Multiple Target Shooting -

                Standing Position, Kneeling Position, Moving.

Ammunition Management -

                Rounds carried, Magazines Carried, rounds remaining.

The second course section involves the shoot house using  a Glock 23 air soft sidearm. (Same method of training used by Law Enforcement Agencies.) Scenarios within the shoot house consist of home invasion defense, search and secure.

Within the shoot house, each participant will engage hostile threats and scan for Non-Hostile Threats.  There are two levels of scenarios.

The first level involves encountering/ engaging targets while differentiating hostile and non-hostile targets under lowlight conditions.

The Second level involves limited lighting while negotiating with sound and sight along with strobe lights activated for confusing the participant while engaging hostile threats without harming non-hostile targets. There is a lighting storm outside.

- Velocity: 320 FPS (0.2 g BB) / range 70-90 feet - Barrel Length: 4 inches / 12 cm - Magazine Capacity: 25 Rounds - Full Metal Slide – semi-auto - Integrated Rail -fires 6mm pellets - Blowback and Locks open when magazine is empty.
