Investigation Introduction Methods Training.

 

 Course Description

 

This course is designed to expose an introduction to the investigation profession. We introduce methods, research, report writing, threat assessments, surveillance, equipment / electronics and the legal aspects. All participants will comprehend the different between an information broker verses an open database relating to public and private records. Although licenses are required to research information, there is still wealth of information within public databases that are not protected by the federal privacy act. While the profession of a Personal Protection Specialist requires intelligence gathering, all participants will be exposed to methods on interviewing and interrogating. These two areas is a must when performing an advance assignment and/or conversing with individuals while assigned in zone three. Participants will explore subjects of pretext / preambles and methods on performing skip tracing and background checks. During the introduction, all participants will be exposed to forensics. Areas of interest include methods on retaining fingerprints on paper and smooth surfaces such as windows including methods on drug testing.

Class size maximum 20.

 

 Objectives include the following:

   Ø  Develop a defined understanding in the legal aspects of investigations.

   Ø  Demonstrate ability on report writing.

   Ø  Comprehend different contracts and meanings.

   Ø  Perform a threat assessment on persons and locations.

   Ø  Comprehend the meaning and legal aspect of performing surveillance.

   Ø  Proper methods of interviewing and interrogating others for information.

   Ø  Comprehend the difference between an information broker and public databases.

   Ø  Perform a background search.

   Ø  Work in groups and communicate properly.

   Ø  Three days / 18 hours.
