First Aid Response Course Description. This course does not certify in medical. It was designed for knowledge on assignments. Courses are instructed by field experienced individuals and paramedics.
This course is designed to provide assistance in first aid response. Topics include cuts, burns, broken bones, poison intakes, sprains, seizers, CPR and medication comprehension. When providing a service, your client may injure themselves in some manner. With emergency locations at a distance, the security provider must assist with the injury until medical professionals are at hand. Or, if you client injures their foot during a social function, the security provider should be able to address the injury and determine the seriousness then recommend actions for the client. During this time, the security provider should know how to dress wounds and support sprains. A client is not likely to leave a social function based on a sprained ankle and the security provider must support that ankle so the client could finish their evening. Participants should comprehend the use of providing a medical kit and supplied. Class size maximum 20.
Objectives includes the following: Ø Develop the correct mental mind set and control emotions. Ø Comprehend the differences between all injuries. Ø Determine client’s level of pain associated with the injury. Ø Methods on taking a pulse. Ø Understanding the difference in skin color. Ø Set in place broken bones. Ø Methods on minimizing digested poison and induce vomiting. Ø Methods on inspecting silverware and glasses for poison laced. Ø Comprehend and perform CPR. Ø Clear airway during chocking. Ø Investigating client’s medication type and purpose. Ø Understand medication quality and the use of syringes. Ø Methods of butterflying and compressing wounds. Ø Methods on wrapping sprains. Ø Comprehend the different types of burns and how to treat them until medical arrives. Ø Actions taken for seizers. Ø Carry and/or support a client to a safe location. Ø Incorporating a supplied a medical kit including a medical reference book. Ø Type of instruction: Ø Classroom Ø Practical application workshop.
Length: Ø Three days / 24 hours.
