Advance Marksmanship
Course Description:
This course is designed to train law enforcement and special operation professionals in combat marksmanship and techniques along with weapon manipulation required to ensure survival in a gunfight. There will be considerable practice applications shooting Pistols and Shotguns. Emphases will be placed on weapons manipulation, the principles of combat shooting and the shooter triad concept. Class size maximum 12.
Objectives include the following:
Ø Strengthen and enhance individual marksmanship
Ø Teach the four basic safety rule
Ø Demonstrate weapon loading and unloading procedures with pistol and shotgun
Ø Demonstrate the ability to engage multiple threats under all weather and lighting conditions
Ø Demonstrate the ability to make use of cover by using supported and unsupported kneeling and prone position while
engaging targets under all weather and lighting conditions.
